 end of an era

Well people, as of 2:20 eastern time this afternoon, shuttle Atlantis launched on its final mission and with two shuttles and two shuttle missions left, Atlantis's final launch has harked the begining to the end of an era for NASA's shuttle fleet. I thought it wouldn't end this soon.

Jack,

Some of the modules do not add overt capability to the game but all add life support. Aboard ISS, the Cupola is really an entertainment for astronauts and for taking photos of the Earth. It might have the capability to boost certain personal values for astronauts in the game, but I'm not really sure at this time.

Does the Cupola have any function?
« Result #3 on Apr 5, 2010, 4:46am »

I've been playing for about a year now, and I just can't find out the function of the Cupola! I was wondering if anyone here could tell me what it's function is, if any?

Yes,

We bought all the existing copies from Enlight when they went out of business. Then a huge number of copies showed up on Ebay and Amazon. Used copies are no problem, but there are many companies selling bootleg copies on Ebay. They might even think that they are selling legal copies. That is why we can't give technical support anymore unless someone bought the game from us. Luckily there are very few technical issues with the game.

Jack,

SSS was built on the rules of design established by the partners NASA, JAXA, ESA, RSA and CSA for the construction of the ISS. Therefore anything built prior could not be included. We could not have acquired a Space Act Agreement from NASA if we had tried to make the game complete fancy.

I reckon skylab should be included, and if it were, you should have a choice between skylab and Zveda(?) as a starting module.

I'm not sure but I doubt you will have anyone that thought the moonlandings were fake would even look at this website.
We are mostly the choir that visit this site, we believe that the moon landings were totally real and not faked.

Greets,
The skylab should not be included into the space station sim because it was a different and separate part of the manned space program.
Addon's to the space station sim should be modules that would be added on after the space station is complete.
Sincerely,
Dave

I like the idea of Skylab, but it really couldn't be an ISS module :)

I started this poll because I would like to see skylab as a module in SSS. What do you think?

Request from a Micromanaging Fan :D
« Result #16 on Aug 22, 2009, 12:04pm »

First Off... I'm a fan of the most Mindblowing micromanaging games out. I usually Buy games that critics said ''too complicated or unaccesible''

I was not sure If i'd get into the game but it is worth every penny. Excellent Video game you have made I must say.

I found only 1 problem with the game (maybe I'm just not good enought yet) Even If astronauts gain experience and stuff... they are still pretty stupid and I never was able to managa more than 2 of them.

My Idea is: *** Making a tasks monitoring interface only linking action scripts that already exists. An interface in wich you can add a recurrent list of assignments

Example: Set Sergei to repair all life support components and then correct course as a single assignment.

Example 2: Set the doctor to repair all biomed components as a single assignment.

You could then assign Numerous tasks and still meet the 5 tasks maximum (wich wouldnt be too hard to perform it terms of game mechanics... I think :P)***

Also... It wouldnt kill any of the depth of the game as you would still need to balance Personal Needs/ Work / Boredom.

Even more!!... Creating a perfect list of assigment allowing you to give no other tasks to your astronaut would be a rather difficult thing to do so it adds a lot to the game depths actually.

*I just found the micromanaging of the crew absolutely ingenious and complicated but a little bit too simplist when you get to 4+ astronauts. It has to be a complicated interface because the game reaches an intense managing Boom.

*****OR: Adding an option wich pauses the gametime would fix that tbh :) gives you time to give away task before your doctor decides she will go and repair the 95% dmg DVD system XD
