Hi Spaceflight Fans,
Im very happy that my wife gave me her old IBM aptiva computer years ago. Im also very happy I bought the cd version of Buzz Aldrins race into space about 15 years ago.
The aptiva has a 233 mhz processor with 96mb ram and it runs Buzz Aldrins Race into Space very nicely.
I still dont know how to use Dos Box yet, but Im glad I dont have to
I disable the cache on board and it slows down even more to about a 386 speed system. I can then play UFO XCOM and Terror from the Deep, xcom2, Master of Orion, Buck Rogers Final Countdown, Matrix Cubed, Space Rogue and Millenium.
I installed an apple emulator on that classic computer and can play EOS Earth Orbit Station I used to play EOS on my C64 and have the game that I can run on my C64 emulator also. I have Project Space Station on the C64 emulator and the aptiva.
My brother and I played EOS by mail, not email but snail mail LOL. We mailed that disk back and forth from North Carolina to Arkansas taking our turns.
I hope Ive brought back some good memories for all you friends.
Time to finish my game playing the Russians in Buzz's Race into Space.

PS. the Shuttle simulation by Virgin Games is a great space/flightsim

I play Orbiter a lot. Orbiter is a very realisitc spaceflight simulator available for free here:

Does anyone play "Geniu$ The Tech Tycoon Game"? It teaches physics and math and has turned me into a bit of a ROCKET scientist! I am calculating 3 stage rocket speeds, except I need some help on it and the tech support is NIL from Cornelsen (German only) or viva media nothing.
After what I read here now I want to see if I can still get that Buzz space race game. Thanks.

ADDED:Just to be fair I should add that I DID get tech support and they helped me finish.

I believe I have seen this program before. It is a Canadian product if I am not mistaken. Very good folks. I hope they do well with the 2007 version. Do you know when it will be available?

No thats Lift Off.. not sure they website. This is completly new. Apart from the beta version.

This is a new programe, released December 25Th Christmas Day.. Hopefully.

and then theres Microsfot Flight X, With the new Shuttle add-on. but this is going to be far better.

I do check the forum regularly, but we have been absolutely slammed lately. I apologize for not answering sooner.

I have considered releasing SimCEV, but it is not a game. It is a demonstration to test the functionality of the Orion vehicle, created YEARS before the Orion vehicle will actually exist.

We are consumed by SIMConstellation at the moment, but I will consider your request.
