I am new to this game, in fact any computer games. I have a very good knowledge of the ISS. I have all the mission press kits and technical data from NASA. I just got this SIM, but it seems to me that assembling the modules does not seem to follow the order in which NASA and RSA used: e.g. Zarya was launched first, then Zvezda, then Node 1, then the Z1 Truss, then Destiny, then the S0 Truss. I can't seem to use that order in the game.Does the game not use NASA's order or have I missed anything.

Welcome to the forums, Robert!
Yes, Zarya came first, and no, you can't use that order in SpaceStationSim. The reason is that we always wanted to have at least one astronaut on board at all times, since one of the game's major focuses is on the astronauts. Zarya isn't a habitation module, so it wouldn't work too well in satisfying that element. Apart from the fact that Zvezda comes first here, you can otherwise match the order and station layout of the real ISS very closely -- Bill does it all the time.
Hope that helps.
