Did this latest update get rolled back? Cause I noticed it's not on the update page anymore.

There was a bit of a problem with the last update. The new one is posted now. Anyone who downloaded the update from Nov. 29th will need to uninstall and reinstall the game before downloading and applying this update. Your save files and configuration settings should remain intact, however. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Hello everyone,
The update will be available tomorrow, 12.27.05 at the earliest. I found some things over the weekend that I wanted the programmers to improve.

Well, after a bit of a delay, the new update is available! We've put a lot of work into this one. There's too much stuff to list here, so follow the link below and take a read through the list of changes. We've incorporated a number of your suggestions into the game. Thanks to hayoo and others for their input. As always, the updates are available at the following link: www.vision-play.com/products/game1/updates.htmlPlease let us know how you like it!

There seems to be a problem with the new update. After installing it, the game crashes after I click "Build New Station."

We have not seen this in our testing.
Uninstall the game and reinstall from the original disc. Then download the update and run it. If you still have problems, send an email to info@vision-play.com with your machine particulars.
BTW. This update IS NOT for the demo!

Downloaded the update today. The improvements and new features help greatly, especially the empty rack icons, brief HUD flash, duplicate Module letters, and the on/off indicators. All very very helpful. Thank you! That tourist still annoys me, and I still can't figure out how to keep him from arriving. He seems to come aboard no matter how well things are going. It's gotten to where an airlock is one of the first modules I install because as the station gets bigger it takes precious seconds to track him down and find out what he's broken. At times I wish I could have my astronauts send him insults out of spite.

hayoo,
We have been discussing putting the Tourist in the HUD so you could see him like the astronauts and go quickly to him when he comes aboard and breaks something. This might make the game easier, but would reduce his threat, which may be a bad thing. You would probably then get to insult him, but you could still not tell him to do anything. FYI when the Russians need money, they fly tourists more often, (hint hint). Also, if you want to somewhat confine him to a module, just build a game room! He's a playboy.
Glad you liked the additions! Tell your friends and those punks reviewing our demo on GameSpot. BTW, the demo will have these additions next week.
Thanks,
Bill

Bill,
I too love the additions and corrections. Keep up the good work. A couple of questions though:
Are launch failures being considered still?
How the heck do you launch the tourist out of the airlock? ;D
Just thought I'd ask....

marsman,
We do have much of the code to allow launch failures. However, if we get to that point, there will be lots of other random type events that happen as well. We need a certain amount of success to get to that point.
You can't make the tourist do a darn thing. However, you can provide opportunities for him to mess up!
Glad you liked the updates.
Best Regards,
Bill
